Welcome to the first inaugural post for Gynecology U!!
We're glad you found us. Over the past 6 years I have had the honor and privilege of traveling all over our great country, and abroad, as a medical researcher, author and physician. Incredibly, whether it is on the east or west coast- north or south border- I still find a variety of medical myths and misinformation still being propagated...sometimes by the lay community and sometimes by well meaning health care providers as well.
So, I thought of a place where all the latest- EVIDENCE BASED- research, clinical updates, and just overall progress in my field (Gynecology) could be summarized. The result: Gynecology U.
Now, this listing is not just for patients/community. From medical students, to researchers, to other physicians will likely find some helpful points along the way.
In a time when we are inundated with information, my goal is to shift out the wheat, so to speak, and see what TRUTH remains...for better patient care. Gynecology U should be a place where REAL medical education becomes clinical application!
Think of this as a pocket gynecology visit...here on site.
Now, as an ObGyn physician by training, I will try to adhere to all things "women's health", although I am open to "discussion points" by request or need.
Lastly, as a published author active in research, this site will be a place to list "advance notices" of what's coming up in the medical literature to keep the readers informed.
So, we'll get started soon, we have lots to cover!!
This sight has been so helpful in the Kentucky area. Thanks Dr. Chapa for the post we look forward to many more useful tips in gynecology!
